Course Offerings

Curriculum at Energy Tech is planned in collaboration with university and industry partners, ensuring that what we teach is aligned with what our students will encounter in college and in the workplace. Knowing that we are preparing students for these experiences earlier than is typical, we provide multiple ways to access the content in the classroom: through technology, collaborative learning, visual representations, and also through daily small-group learning labs.

Students will be offered courses based on the requirements for New York City in addition to courses specific to our Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Early College Initiative (ECI) model. Each year of our program, students participate in general academic courses, as well as pre-engineering or college-level coursework. In addition, each year’s course of study includes instruction in College and Career Foundations. In this strand of learning, students build leadership skills required to be successful in life after high school. This happens through classroom activities, guest speakers, field visits, mentoring, job shadowing, internships, and more.

For more information, please check out our Course of Study Guide.
