Tutoring

Math Tutoring is offered every Thursday from 3-4 pm. Students can come in with questions or comments from class, receive advanced work, or just do homework while having someone available to help if they get stuck. For more information, please contact Mr. Davis at gdavis@energytechhs.org.

English Tutoring is offered by appointment in the 9th and 10th grade departments, and students are often found in these classrooms after school typing up final drafts or conferencing with teachers. Please contact your teacher for more information.

After-School ESL is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:30 pm. Students are provided with laptops or iPads, and time is given for working through assignments on Achieve3000 or ALEKS. Students also spend time receiving homework help, reading literature in circles, practicing speaking and listening, and sharing in a wide range of cultural activities. Both current and former ESL students are welcome! For more information, please contact Ms. Mohammed at tmohammed@energytechhs.org.

Science Tutoring and Lab Make-Up Sessions are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. Students meet in room B2 or in the science laboratory (room 102) to practice Regents-style questions, get help with homework, work in small study groups, or make up missed laboratory time. For more information, please contact Ms. Yablon at eyablon@energytechhs.org or Ms. Garcia at agarcia@energytechhs.org.

The Computer Lab is open for student use during breakfast on most days or by appointment after school. Students are able to access the internet, type essays or lab reports, conduct research, and print. The lab is also open on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school during Computer Programming Club and Mouse Squad meetings.

Saturday Academy is offered for approximately 12 sessions in the fall and 12 sessions in the spring to help students prepare for January and June Regents examinations. Select courses are offered in 1-hour intervals from 9 am–12 noon, and a light breakfast is provided. On some Saturdays, some afternoon trips and special events are provided. For more information, contact Ms. Barter at hbarter@energytechhs.org.
