Amanda Garcia grew up in southern New Mexico, but has fallen in love with New York City since she moved here! 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Education from Columbia University. Ms. Garcia's first teaching experience was teaching 8th grade math in Providence, Rhode Island, and she hasn't looked back since. 

Ms. Garcia loves being a part of the Energy Tech community and being able to share the knowledge of chemistry with her students and help them become true scientific thinkers and learners. 

In her free time, Ms. Garcia enjoys going to the movies, watching television, singing, and listening to many different kinds of music.
