Donna Joyce is excited to be teaching at Energy Tech. Ms. Joyce grew up in Long Island City and is looking forward to returning to teach at the building where she attended Junior High School. In addition to teaching, she has spent several years coaching Girls Gymnastics, Girls Softball, and Boys Bowling. Ms. Joyce is currently an Assistant Commissioner for Public Schools Athletic League where she oversees the city’s high school softball program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Master of Education in Special Education from CUNY Hunter College. In her free time, Ms. Joyce is active with a local running club and has participated in many New York Road Runners races, including the NYC Marathon. She recently achieved a personal goal of running 40 half­marathons before her 40th birthday. Ms. Joyce also enjoys reading and hanging out with her dog Benny.
