Langdon Soares received his BS in Engineering and his MBA degrees from Cornell University. He worked in the fields of engineering and business for over 15 years. During this time, his career included experience in the automotive, pharmaceutical and aerospace industries.
Mr. Soares received his MS in Education from the City College of New York (CCNY), and has been teaching mathematics, science and engineering at NYC public schools since 2006. During this time, he also was involved in FIRST Robotics competition.
He is pleased to teach at Energy Tech High School, which allows him to use his career and life experiences in engineering and business. His knowledge will be used to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to our students, preparing them for their college and life experiences.
Mr. Soares has travelled to the Caribbean, and to various African countries, as well as to Japan and Great Britain; he also has travelled throughout the United States. A former marathoner and track athlete, he still tries to fit in early morning jogs when he can.
