Maria Quintanilla grew up in New York City and is proud to be a graduate of the New York City Public School System. She received her B.A in Communications from Marist College in Poughkeepsie. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature from Hunter College and furthered her education at Pace University.

Ms. Quintanilla taught for a number of years in an all-boys private high school before joining the New York City Department of Education six years ago. Ms. Quintanilla is truly inspired and thrilled to be part of the Energy Tech community where diversity and respect for all are fundamental components to students’ academic success.
