Growing up on a dairy farm in upstate New York, Mark Rogerson loved to ride dirt bikes and ATVs. He would always take them apart and put them back together because of his fascination with how they worked.
His first job during high school was at a fabrication shop, which furthered his interest in physics and the world around him.
After high school, Mr. Rogerson attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Orlando, FL, due to his passion for motorcycles.
After studying at MMI, he decided that being a mechanic was not for him and instead went into construction. His first construction job was as a laborer in a small concrete construction company. Within six months, he was promoted through the ranks from laborer to foreman.
After a few years of construction, he realized that he had a passion for design, which led him to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Rogerson started at SUNY Ulster and later transferred to The City College of New York, where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Engineering degree. During his time at City College, he interned at the NYC Department of Design and Construction and NASA.
Mr. Rogerson is now the Industry Liaison at Energy Tech and is excited to work with future engineers.
