Campus & Facilities

Energy Tech is located in the vibrant community of Long Island City, Queens, in the Q204 campus. It is conveniently located within walking distance of—or a short train ride to—our partner college, LaGuardia Community College. Our 36-41 28th Street, Long Island City, Queens location is just a few blocks from the N and W trains at the 36th Avenue stop. Students may also take the M and R trains to 36th Street, the E train to Queens Plaza, the F train to 21st Street-Queensbridge, or a range of local buses. It may be helpful to use mta.info or a similar app to map your most convenient route.

Our facility is located on the ground, first, and second floors of our building, and includes spacious and print-rich classrooms, a recently renovated science laboratory and prep room, an engineering laboratory, computer laboratory facilities, a new hydroponic science laboratory, and a range of offices and meeting rooms—including a lecture hall to be used for on-campus college coursework. We share a newly refinished gymnasium and an auditorium. Our classrooms are outfitted with current educational technology, and students are provided with their own devices to use both at home and in school.

Our high school facilities span far beyond the physical walls of our main campus. As a 9-14 program, students are also expected to participate in off-site coursework at nearby LaGuardia Community College and in career-readiness activities at worksites around New York City. Students are provided with additional MetroCards to support their travel between our high school, the college campus, and various internship locations.

In addition to the labs and a maker space at our high school campus, students also travel to a maker space for fabrication science coursework on nearby Roosevelt Island through a partnership with NYC FIRST.
